Founded in 2023 and headquartered in GIFT City, Kairne Capital
IFSC was born from a pivotal thesis: India's dynamic,
fast-evolving market lacked a world-class alternative
investment institution built on institutional rigor, absolute
transparency, and a global outlook. Leveraging the structural,
regulatory, and cross-border capabilities of the International
Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), Kairne Capital
bridges global capital with high-impact Indian growth
opportunities.
Our team brings together a combined experience across private
equity, structured debt, and corporate leadership - comprising
experts who have built, scaled, and transformed market-leading
enterprises.
As a Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) under
IFSCA, we deliver bespoke, flexible capital solutions,
spanning private credit, growth equity, last-mile financing,
and pre-IPO transactions across growth sectors including
real estate and emerging industries.
Beyond financial returns, Kairne Capital is committed to
institutional legacy and social impact. By channeling
capital into high-conviction ventures, we aim to accelerate
job creation, strengthen domestic enterprise, and elevate
the broader socio-economic landscape. We invest with a clear
mandate: to protect and grow capital, deliver an attractive
blended cost of funding for our portfolio, and ensure every
dollar deployed creates enduring value for investors,
investees, and society.
Our Ethos
Deep Client Commitment & Total Alignment
We operate with an owner’s mindset, aligning our interests
directly with those of our capital partners and portfolio
companies. Our investment decisions are guided strictly by the
goals and trust of our clients, ensuring tailored execution,
active value creation, and consistent stewardship across
market cycles.
Uncompromising Integrity & Radical Transparency
Trust is our core currency. We uphold the highest standards of
governance and open communication across every partnership and
transaction. From deal structuring to performance reporting,
our stakeholders receive complete visibility and
straightforward accountability at every step.
Responsibility, Accountability & Ownership
Our mandate extends beyond portfolio returns to our role in
society and the broader financial ecosystem. We take full
ownership of our actions, ensuring that our investment
strategies promote ethical practices, sustainable economic
growth, and tangible social upliftment across the communities
we impact.
Excellence & Value Creation Beyond Commitment
We are driven to consistently outperform standards and exceed
expectations. By delivering flexible capital, speed of
execution, and hands-on strategic advisory, we ensure that
every initiative generates shared success and long-term value
for all stakeholders involved.
Investment Philosophy
At Kairne IFSC Capital, we believe that successful investing
begins with a deep understanding of the underlying business,
industry and the fundamentals that drive long-term value. Our
investment philosophy is research-driven, valuation-focused
and grounded in disciplined risk assessment.
We do not rely solely on market sentiment or short-term
trends. Instead, we undertake comprehensive fundamental
research to understand the quality of the business, its
competitive positioning, growth potential, management
capabilities, financial performance and the broader industry
and market environment.
Our Focus Areas
Private Equity
We invest in high-potential private businesses with strong
fundamentals, scalable business models and identifiable
growth opportunities. Our approach combines deep fundamental
research, management assessment and disciplined valuation,
with a focus on long-term value creation.
Private Credit
We provide structured debt and credit solutions to
businesses with identifiable cash-flow potential and
well-defined funding requirements. Investments are evaluated
with emphasis on repayment capacity, cash-flow visibility,
collateral/security where applicable and downside
protection.
Real Estate & Project Investments
We evaluate real estate and project-led opportunities based
on project feasibility, market demand, development
potential, project economics and risk-adjusted returns.
Typical opportunities may include development projects and
other asset-backed or project-oriented investments with
clearly identifiable value drivers.
Structured & Hybrid Investments
We consider flexible capital structures, including
convertible instruments, structured equity, debt-equity
combinations and other hybrid solutions, where the structure
can appropriately align risk, return and the capital
requirements of the investee. Each opportunity is assessed
on its underlying economics rather than being restricted to
a single investment structure.
Growth & Special Situations
We selectively evaluate businesses and projects undergoing
significant growth, expansion, restructuring or other
transformational situations where capital can unlock
meaningful value. Our assessment focuses on the underlying
fundamentals, execution capability, capital requirements and
potential catalysts.
Sector-Agnostic, Research-Driven Approach
Rather than restricting ourselves to a narrow sector
mandate, we evaluate opportunities based on business
quality, growth potential, valuation, management capability
and risk-adjusted return potential. Sector exposure is
therefore driven by the quality of individual opportunities
and our conviction following detailed research and due
diligence.
Our Investment Process
01
Sourcing
We identify investment opportunities through our network of
entrepreneurs, industry participants, advisors and other
strategic relationships. We focus on businesses and projects
that demonstrate strong fundamentals, scalable potential and
attractive risk-adjusted return opportunities.
02
Due Diligence & Underwriting
Every opportunity undergoes comprehensive evaluation covering
industry and market dynamics, business fundamentals,
management quality, financial performance, project
feasibility, valuation and key risks. We use financial,
commercial and scenario-based analysis to assess the
opportunity and its downside potential.
03
Structuring & Execution
Based on the investment thesis and capital requirements, we
develop an appropriate investment structure, which may include
equity, debt, convertible instruments or other structured
solutions. Following completion of due diligence and necessary
approvals, we execute the transaction with clearly defined
terms and investment parameters.
04
Monitoring & Exit
Following investment, we monitor the performance of the
business/project against key financial, operational and
strategic parameters. We evaluate the investment periodically
and pursue an exit strategy aligned with the investment
thesis, market conditions and value-creation objectives.
